Provide treatment planning, individual counseling, case management, crisis intervention, suicide assessment, psychological evaluations, sex offender risk assessments and consultation/staff education regarding mental health concerns.  Conduct cognitive behaviorally-based sex offender treatment groups and reality therapy/choice theory-based emotional literacy groups.  Facilitate LGBT Empowerment group and serve as the institution’s primary resource and support for/regarding LGBT individuals.  Serve as member of the Certified Peer Specialist Committee overseeing a team of 33 inmate Certified Peer Specialists.  Serve as Sex Offender Treatment Coordinator and Adjunct Faculty/Trainer.  Serve as Psychology Department PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) Trainer and Coordinator.  Provide assessment, education and support related to Gender Dysphoria and issues of gender identity.  (June 2013 to present)

SafeNet

Serve as a volunteer Advocate at Hospitality House 24/7 Emergency Shelter for individuals and families fleeing domestic violence.  Provide individual and group counseling, advocacy, case management, and domestic violence education and safety planning.  Answer hotline calls from hospitals, law enforcement, and individuals needing support regarding issues of domestic violence

 

Big Brothers/Big Sisters (Family Services of NWPA)

Serve as a volunteer mentor for a child in my community to include weekly outings/activities and ongoing support.  

 

Canine Partners for Life

Volunteer handler/puppy home for service dogs in training with the Prison Puppy Program at the State Correctional Institution at Albion.  Provide individual counseling and support group services to inmate puppy handlers.  Coordinate and conduct veterinary visits and needed medical follow up.  Provide educational community presentations and demonstrations regarding service animals, facility animals and home companion animals. 

 

Bloom Collaborative

Regular volunteer at annual Holiday Events and the Soul Party, assisting Bloom staff with sales and guest services. 

 

Crime Victims’ Center of Erie

Volunteer at fundraising events such as the Block Party, Cornhole Tournament, Moonlight on the Bay, Roarr on Crime, etc.  Perform various tasks as assigned by CVC staff.

Guest speaker/speaker coordinator for the Dress for Success Professional Women’s Group.  Facilitate client discussion groups for Mercy Center for Women on an as needed/requested basis.
